Use a parental passcode to prevent your child from turning off parental controls without your consent, or to disable the child's device lock during sleep, or to remove their Google Account from the device if it is not connected to the Internet.
You can get your parental passcode from the Family Link app or families.google.com. It cannot be sent by email or SMS. You must enter the code on your child's device before it expires.
How to get a parental passcode in the Family Link app
- Open the Family Link app on your device.
- In the upper left corner, click the Parental Passcode menu icon. The code changes every few minutes.
How to get the parental access code on the site
- Go to families.google.com.
- Sign in to your account.
- Click the Parental Passcode menu icon.
If the code doesn't work, make sure the time on your device is set correctly.
Important! You can also change this setting in your child's profile at families.google.com.
